Join Criteo at eTail West to Hear How You Can Turn Mobile Browsers Into Buyers

Posted by Criteo

We’re excited to announce that last week, Criteo released its Q4 State of Mobile Commerce Report. As recapped by our CRO Mollie Spilman in a recent LinkedIn Pulse post, findings continue to point to the growth of cross-device use, and particularly the rise of mobile as the transaction device of choice. To help brands capitalize on the mobile marketing opportunity in front of them, Mollie provides three key tips to engage consumer and boost revenue in her LinkedIn article. Here is a quick recap:

"

1. Eliminate the Barriers to Purchase - To turn browsers into buyers, eliminating barriers to purchase is the first step. For example, a lengthy registration or login process is likely to lose consumer interest. Brands like Threadless and Lululemon don't force customers to login or create an account in order to purchase, but instead suggest they do so for a faster or easier checkout. Also, many brands risk cart abandonment when they ask for credit card details before outlining shipping options and costs--something that’s very important to the buyer.

2. Create Personalization to Close the Sale - A huge component of a successful mobile strategy is paying close attention to the experiences already served up to the consumer, and not duplicating efforts. By creating a complete, cross-device profile of the consumer, brands can deliver personalized, relevant experiences—ranging from digital advertisements to products or other offers that engage consumers at the right time. These micro-targeted messages are much more likely to influence purchases, and ongoing re-engagement.”

3. Invest in Building a Better Shopping App - Mobile remains an awareness-only vehicle for many consumers because of the often sub-par browsing and product comparison experiences offered, difficult navigation and worries about security of purchasing. Companies can eradicate these pain points, which drive the consumer away, by building a dedicated shopping app that’s easy to use and highlights their best products.
